About Me

My journey towards living a healthy lifestyle began when I was a woman in my mid-twenties trying to discover a way of living in the world that would nourish me on all levels of my Being - Physically, Emotionally, Mentally and Spiritually.

In my late teens, I had an encounter with the eating disorder Anorexia which then evolved into it’s exact opposite, Compulsive Overeating, which I suffered from for many years.

Due to the suffering, I had a deep desire to grow healthier and more in balance, and this desire fueled my studies in the realms of Health, Nutrition, Spirituality, Psychology and Philosophy. Through all of my studying, and even more importantly, through my life experience and personal growth, I learned essential information that helped to guide me to living the life of my dreams - a life of great inner freedom, love, peace, joy and vitality.

Throughout my time of studying, I had a direct experience with how profoundly my food choices impacted how I felt physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It was all interrelated. When I ate real, whole foods, the act created an upward spiral in my life. I had more positive emotions, my thoughts were clearer and I felt more connected on a spiritual level to the foods that I was putting into my body. Step by step I discovered a way of eating that was healthy and delicious, that was satisfying and generous, and that let me feel the best that I could in my body, mind and heart.  I found that food is truly a medicine that can heal you on all levels of being.

In my life, I am seeking a beautiful balance. The word balance is derived from a Latin word meaning ‘to dance with,' which is perfect because what we need to create balance in our lives changes from moment to moment, and it is this learning of how to flow and dance smoothly with these continual changes, how to be flexible and supple in our lives so that there can be a sense of ease and relaxation in our bodies, is an essential lesson that takes a lot of practice, and life gives us endless opportunities to practice.

I feel called to share what I have come to find as the most helpful and effective health practices for me in my own life because I wish to be the Life Raft that I so sorely needed in my own personal years of struggling. I wish for my writings to provide the information needed for the reader, so that years of searching and suffering can be avoided, and instead, the true joy and love that we are all able to experience in our lifetime can be reawakened and be the activating forces in our lives. Namaste.
